Die Arbeit entstand im Kontext der Manifesta7 und thematisiert die Situation in Norditalien. Sie behandelt die Frage der „lokalen Identität“ und der realpolitischen Bedürfnisse vor Ort. Die Kulisse der Videos ist das Duplikat eines Wandgemäldes am Bahnhof Rovereto, welches eine typische Berglandschaft Norditaliens zeigt. An einem Wiener Bahnhof bat Witt Passanten vor diesem Bild einen Monolog zu halten und in einem zweiten Schritt, die von ihr ausgeübten Attacken abzuwehren. Zurück in Rovereto zeigte sie die Videos Passanten mit der Bitte, diese mit ihren eigenen politischen Forderungen, die lokalen Lebensbedingungen betreffend, spontan zu vertonen.

The work was developped in the context of the Manifesta7, and picks out as a central theme the situation in Northern Italy. It deals with the question of “local identity” and the political needs thereof. The stage for the scene of the videos was a reproduction of a wall painting in the train station in Rovereto which shows a typical Northern Italian mountain landscape. At a train station in Vienna, Witt asked passers-by to give a speech in front of this picture and in a second step she asked them to challenge her verbal attacks. Back in Rovereto she showed the video to passers-by and asked them to spontaneously form personal political demands for the local living conditions.
